Location: Nottingham, UK Hours: Full time (5 days per week, 37.5 hours) Salary: Starting from £25,500 per annum + market-leading commission structure

We’re looking for a passionate and talented Makeup Artist to join a very exciting new Trinny London counter located in John Lewis – Nottingham. As a Trinny London Artist, you will be the cornerstone of our world, responsible for embodying our mission: giving our customers the tools to become their best every day.
Using our stackable, portable, curated makeup and our award-winning skincare, your key role will be a combination of next-level artistry, expert product knowledge, and a passion for helping others. We believe making makeup accessible to everyone, so adaptability and creativity will be your greatest allies—tailoring styles and advice to each customer’s unique journey.

Here’s what your day in the life as a Trinny London Makeup Artist might look like:
- Conduct all service types—pre-booked appointments and walk-in customers—delivering an exceptional Trinny London Match2Me experience every time.
- Offer exceptional customer service, sharing product expertise and makeup advice that empowers customers to achieve their best.
- Stay true to Trinny London’s brand and aesthetic, fostering loyalty so customers keep returning for your expertise.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, constantly chasing and exceeding KPIs, challenges, and high performance.
- Collaborate with education and training teams to refine and elevate makeup advice and techniques, keeping up with the latest trends.
- Build long-term customer relationships and drive daily and monthly sales targets to boost your team’s collective success.
- Act as a trendsetter and trend finder—continuously refining your product knowledge, artistry, and skincare expertise.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in a beauty or cosmetics retail environment (a must).
- A true passion for makeup and skincare, with be a informed and motivated to stay current.
- A proven track record of customer relationship management and data capture (to ensure we meet performance goals).
- A highly adaptable and confident mindset—flourishing under change, pressure, and high demand.
- A positive, can-do attitude—willing to push past challenges.
- Target-driven energy relishing the thrill of exceeding KPIs and personal bests.
- The ability to work punctual, flexible shifts, including weekends and bank holidays (retail work!).
- Warm, personable character with a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
