About the role The Managed Services Pre-Sales Service Architect is a customer-facing technical services specialist responsible for shaping, positioning, and architecting Node4’s next-generation managed services portfolio for customers. This lead role will take responsibility for alignment of services to client requirements and feeding the roadmap for our set of managed services, built around Node4’s product set, over the coming years. This role plays a critical role in translating customer challenges into tailored solutions, driving trust in Node4’s capabilities, and helping secure new business.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Engagement: Partner with account managers and solution specialists to position Node4’s product focused managed services portfolio during the sales cycle Architect ITSM solutions for customers Lead discovery sessions with customers to uncover business, service and technical requirements Deliver compelling presentations showcasing Node4’s managed services offerings Articulate the value of managed services within broader Node4 offerings (Cloud, Networking, Data & AI, Modern Workplace, Security, and Business Applications). Produce high-quality proposals, service architecture & designs, and statements of work (SoW) aligned to customer requirements and Node4 delivery capabilities. Ensure designs incorporate security best practices, regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials+, GDPR), and future-proofing for customer growth.
Portfolio & Innovation Contribution: Act as a feedback loop between customers, sales, and the product management team to influence Node4’s managed services for product sets roadmap Position innovative new solutions into Node4 and challenge the status quo Work with the Node4 product team to develop repeatable playbooks, reference architectures, and sales collateral to accelerate adoption of new services Work with the sales enablement team supporting sales and technical teams by sharing knowledge and conducting training sessions Work closely with Node4 managed services practice and operations function align supported services to the Node4 product and services catalogue

Client Relationship & Thoughts Leadership Build trusted advisor status with key stakeholders (CTO, COO, and Support Managers) Participate in industry events, roundtables, and webinars as an evangelist for Node4 Support bid teams with RFP responses and qualification content
Skills and Experience Required This role at Node4 requires a blend of specific technical and service skills, leadership qualities, client engagement abilities, and strong communication skills.
Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of the IT Service Management (ITSM) approach Strong knowledge of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) portfolio, ITIL qualification preferable Strong Knowledge of a Managed Service Provider support framework for 1st to 4th line Experience in service architecture and design Experience developing and implementing managed service solutions for IT managed service providers Knowledge of Cloud (SaaS, PaaS and IaaS) technology, end user environment and managed service support of these, including Microsoft Azure Awareness of compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST, CIS, GDPR) and how they map into solution design
Pre-Sales & Consulting Skills Proven track record in a pre-sales or solutions engineering role within a managed service provider (MSP), System Integrator, or vendor Ability to build tailored presentations and deliver persuasive demos to both technical and business audiences Strong experience in creating solution proposals, SoWs, and RFP responses Commercial awareness to align solutions with business outcomes and ROI
