Managed Services Solutions Architect
Location: London
Salary: £85,000 - £103,000 + £6,000 car allowance + 10-15% bonus
We are seeking an experienced Managed Services Solutions Architect to join a leading consulting organisation, supporting the design and delivery of complex managed service solutions for public sector clients. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of technology strategy, service design, and operational transformation, helping organisations shape future operating models and deliver scalable, secure, and effective services.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in managed services architecture, with experience designing solutions across large-scale transformation programmes. You will work closely with clients, delivery teams, and technical specialists to define service models, develop solution designs, and support the transition of services into operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop end-to-end managed service solutions aligned to client objectives and business outcomes.
- Lead the creation of solution architectures, operating models, service designs, and transition strategies.
- Work with stakeholders across business, technology, and operations to define future-state service capabilities.
- Support bids, proposals, and client engagements by providing technical leadership and solution input.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, deliverable managed service solutions.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure solutions are practical, commercially viable, and aligned with industry best practice.
- Support public sector clients through technology-enabled business transformation and service improvement initiatives.

Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a Managed Services Architect, Solutions Architect, Service Architect, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of managed service delivery models, outsourcing, and service transition.
- Experience designing target operating models (TOMs), operating models, and service management frameworks.
- Background working across large-scale transformation, business change, or service design programmes.
- Experience supporting public sector clients or complex regulated environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience contributing to bids, proposals, and client-facing consulting engagements.

Desirable Experience:
- Experience with ITIL, SIAM, cloud services, or enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Knowledge of modern digital transformation approaches and technology-enabled operating models.
- Experience working within consulting environments.
