Solutions Specialist – Managed Services

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are hiring a new Solutions Specialist to support the growth of our Managed Services portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary support within the sales process for Managed Services, including handling enquiries and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain deep knowledge of the Managed Services portfolio to underpin client conversations, presentations, and technical demonstrations.
  • Assist Account Managers and BDMs in developing high-quality proposals, tenders, and sales materials.
  • Lead product awareness and enablement training to enhance sales capability and drive service adoption.
  • Manage CRM tracking for opportunities, ensuring accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Service Delivery and Technical teams to gather solutions information for client needs.
  • Follow up on quotes, deliver sales reporting, and progress opportunities to maximise conversion rates.
  • Build strong internal relationship pipelines to drive consistent Managed Services growth.
  • Contribute to service documentation, collateral, and continual service improvement (CSI) initiatives.
  • Support internal campaigns and ad-hoc activities to further develop and succeed the portfolio.

Key Requirements

This role suits professionals currently in pre-sales, sales or delivery-focused positions within an MSP, IT services environment, looking to expand technical and commercial expertise in a customer-facing, growth-driven role.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Technical fluency: Comprehensive understanding of IT services, managed solutions, and the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Commercial awareness: Ability to apply in sales/pre-sales environments.
  • Relevant background: Minimum 3+ years in IT solutions/Managed Services (or equivalent delivery experience).
  • Communication: Confident presenter capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proposal/documentation skills: Strong ability to create high-quality pitches and technical collateral.
  • Organisational expertise: Prioritise tasks efficiently and manage multiple activities with precision.
  • Commercial acumen: Numeracy and understanding of pricing/commercial principles.
  • Adaptability: Quick learner with an appetite for new technologies and trends.
  • Collaboration: Strong relationships built across sales, technical and delivery teams.
  • Attention to detail + strategy balance: Meticulous yet strategic mindset.
  • Initiative: Self-motivated, resilient, driven by results with integrity and creativity.

Practical Details

Location

  • Primary HQ: Pocklington, East Yorkshire (YO42)
  • Workstyle: 2-3 days per week in-office
