Role Overview

Working with the assistant accountant to ensure the monthly and year-end accounts, forecasts, and audit files are accurate and timely prepared in accordance with company timetables, providing technical guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the senior management team to ensure the delivery of the year operational plan.
  • Ensure all aspects of working capital are managed, highlighting and mitigating risk.
  • Provide analysis to the Financial Director and Head of Finance, highlighting variance against targets and offering business improvement ideas where appropriate.
  • Take a lead role in preparing the statutory accounts and liaising with the auditors.
  • Take a lead role in preparing and submitting the external compliance requirements, including VAT and MTD.
  • Support all areas of the finance team, ensuring that the team understands all departmental objectives and are compliant with accounting standards and legislation.
