Management Accountant (12 month FTC)
Management Accountant (12 Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (hybrid working)
About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to:
- Deliver accurate financial reporting
- Support strategic decision-making
- Drive business performance
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, providing insightful analysis and ensuring robust financial controls to help achieve the business’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Deliver financial reporting and insights to senior stakeholders
- Monitor financial performance, identifying trends and risks
- Assist with year-end processes and audit requirements
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Business partner across departments to support decision-making
- Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and systems
Experience & Qualifications
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a management accounting or similar finance role
- Experience working with budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Experience using finance systems and Excel for analysis and reporting

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator, experienced in working with non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Commercial awareness with a proactive mindset
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel
