Management Accountant - 12-Month FTC
London | Hybrid Working | Study Support Available
Your new company
An established and highly regarded law firm is seeking a Management Accountant to join its Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. There is potential for the contract to be extended beyond the initial term to support a comprehensive handover and the ongoing needs of the business. This opportunity would suit a part-qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant looking to broaden their experience within a professional services environment while continuing their studies with the support of an experienced finance team.
Your new role
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Producing KPI reports and monthly management information packs
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns
- Supporting statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, including ONS submissions
- Posting payroll journals and liaising with internal stakeholders
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and reforestation processes
- Delivering ad-hoc financial analysis and Excel-based reporting

What you'll need to succeed
- ACCA or CIMA part-qualified and actively studying
- Previous experience in a management accounting or finance role
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
- Experience within a law firm or professional services environment is essential.
