As we continue our journey toward becoming Ireland’s most trusted and sustainable business, we are currently recruiting for a Company Owned Management Accountant to join the Finance Team located in Belfast.
This role is a diverse one, which provides key commercial information to the Company Owned business. It will support store managers and operations on understanding and interpreting the financial information they receive.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing and reviewing weekly reports, monthly management accounts and quarterly stock results.
- Supporting the production of budgets and forecasts on a quarterly basis.
- Supporting work on procurement and lowest cost.
- Reviewing P&Ls across 43 stores.
- Working with all departments and the management team to contribute to financial decisions.
- Liaising with internal/external auditors on an interim and year-end basis.
- Supporting and dealing with ad-hoc queries on management accounts, acquisition of a new store, disposal of company-owned stores, and traveling to sites to carry out reviews where appropriate.
- Flexibility to meet key queries as and when they arise and to support the store managers and operations team in providing guidance.

What we are looking for:
- 2 years or more relevant experience.
- Experience of working within an FMCG, retail, or distribution environment.
- Ability to plan, prioritise workloads to agreed deadlines, and demonstrate experience in working in a fast-paced environment.
- A fast learner, open to new ideas, and an ability to engage fully with all business operations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to explain financial terms simply to non-financial.
- Qualified Accountant with membership of a professional body, e.g., ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
