Management Accountant – KINTO UK
About the Role
This position is based at KINTO UK, a mobility brand owned by the Toyota Group.
The Management Accountant oversees:
- Accurate and timely production of management accounts
- Balance sheet integrity maintenance
- Robust financial control across the business.
About the Finance Department
The Management Accounts team forms the core of KINTO UK’s Finance function. It underpins financial governance, performance insight, and effective decision-making by:
- Ensuring strong internal controls
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting
- Harmonising balance sheet integrity.
Key Responsibilities

Management Account Production
- Lead preparation, review, and delivery of monthly management accounts, adhering to deadlines with accuracy and completeness.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Oversee reconciliations to ensure full support for all balances, resolving issues promptly.

Financial Compliance & Controls
- Review financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
- Challenge transactions objectively.

Stakeholder Reporting
- Support the Management Accounts Manager in offering financial analysis, commentary, and insights for senior decision-makers.
- Act as a key Finance liaison for internal stakeholders, delivering clear explanations and financial support.

Treasury & Cash Flow
- Support treasury-related tasks, including cash reconciliations and working capital analysis.

Audit & Trail Maintenance
- Oversee compliance with internal and external audit requirements, maintaining robust audit trails.

Process Improvement
- Proactively identify process efficiencies, control enhancements, and functional optimisations across the Management Accounts function.

Skills and Experience (Essential)
A combination of the following:
- Technical Accounting Expertise
- Proven experience in producing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Qualification or Professional Experience
- Part-qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) OR Qualified by Experience (QBE).
- Analytical & Precision
- High attention to detail; strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- ERP & Reporting Systems
- Hands-on experience with SAP and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Month-End Oversight
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently in a structured month-end environment.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Clear, confident communicator able to engage with non-finance stakeholders.
- Control Mindset
- Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and confidence to challenge controls when needed.

- Builds trust and effective working relationships with colleagues.
