Management Accountant

Allstaff Finance & Accountancy Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Management Accountant.

A leading manufacturer with a portfolio of well-known brands are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their Finance team. With over 40 years of experience and exporting to over 70 countries worldwide, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organisation at the forefront of their industry.

Reporting to the Finance Director, as well as having responsibility for the usual tasks of the Finance department, you will be responsible for supporting the finance team across international businesses.

This is a full-time, permanent, onsite position based in Inchinnan, Renfrewshire (PA4), with offices located next to Glasgow Airport.

  • Monday to Thursday: 9.00am to 5.30pm
  • Friday: 9.00am to 4.00pm

General Accounting Duties:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Assist in the production of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Responsible for maintaining the general ledger.
  • Maintenance and review of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Asset Register.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations, including reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Preparation of weekly supplier payment runs.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Preparation of audit files.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts.
  • Liaising with external auditors and bankers.
  • Staff expenses review.
  • Ad hoc reporting.
  • Product profitability and variance analysis.
  • Cost analysis.
  • Assist in stock valuation and review.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred) or equivalent, commercial training or similar
  • Experience with Sage 200 and Epicor preferable
  • Part or fully Qualified accountant
  • Excellent organisational and Time Management Skills
  • Intermediate Excel
  • Can demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Strong Communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders’ expectations

Experience

  • 3–5 years' professional accounting experience (36–60 months).
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience accepted in place of formal qualifications.
