Are you a Management Accountant (Cost) in a creative industry looking for the next step in your career? Do you want to join a growing business where you'll gain exposure to commercial finance, revenue accounting and FP&A while developing into a Finance Manager?
We're looking for a technically strong and commercially minded Management Accountant / Junior Finance Manager to join our expanding finance team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the monthly accounting cycle while playing a key role in supporting the wider business.
Initially, you'll focus on cost reporting and financial control, before broadening your experience into revenue accounting, group reporting and commercial finance as the business continues to grow.
The Role
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments and payroll.
- Produce detailed cost reporting and analysis.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register.
- Prepare VAT returns and bank reconciliations.
- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Oversee the purchase order process.
- Line manage and develop an Accounts Payable / Finance Assistant.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the wider group and support month-end reporting.

The Person
- 3-5 years' accounting experience, studying towards ACCA/CIMA/AAT or qualified by experience.
- Strong management accounting skills, including accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT and intercompany.
- Previous experience within a media, advertising or creative business would be highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of revenue accounting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong Excel skills; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a bonus.
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach.
