Part Qualified Management Accountant - Wokingham (Hybrid) - Permanent - Up to £45,000
The Role
A well-established business in Wokingham is looking for a part qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is a hands-on role covering month-end management accounts, reporting, and business partnering, offering genuine scope to develop technically while continuing towards full qualification. It would suit someone 2/3 of the way through ACCA or CIMA, who has built a solid transactional and month-end foundation and is ready to take on more ownership of the numbers ahead of qualifying.

- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and depreciation
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Support the Financial Controller with cash flow reporting and monitoring
- Produce and analyse KPI reports for budget holders
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaison with external auditors
- Balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Business partner with non-finance department heads, providing clear, accessible financial insight
- Support process improvement initiatives within the finance function
- Assist with VAT returns and other statutory compliance as required

Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- ACCA / CIMA part qualified, 2/3 through the qualification (e.g. CIMA Strategic level, or ACCA with Skills level complete/underway)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a management accounting
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, SUMIFS)
- Demonstrable experience preparing month-end management accounts, not just transactional processing
- Good communication skills, comfortable liaising with non-finance stakeholders
