Management Accountant - Permanent - Slough (Hybrid) - Up to £60,000
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our finance team based in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality financial reporting, analysis and business partnering to support strategic decision-making.
Reporting to the Finance Manager or Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate management information, improving financial processes and supporting the wider business with financial insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts within agreed deadlines.
- Produce monthly profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any variances.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial plans in collaboration with departmental managers.
- Provide detailed variance analysis and commentary on financial performance.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with statutory audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Monitor business performance through key financial and operational KPIs.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial controls and business processes.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Provide financial analysis to support commercial decision-making and business initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist with ad hoc financial projects as required.

Person Specification
Essential
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
- Strong knowledge of management accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using ERP or finance systems.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
