The Role
We are looking for a Management Accountant to support the day to day running of our accounting function, reporting directly to the Controller. This role will play a key part in maintaining high standards across the team, supporting financial controls and contributing to continuous improvement within the department.
You will join a team of eight accounting specialists and will be involved in reviewing work, strengthening processes and supporting the business through a period of growth and change following a recent Private Equity investment.

This role offers strong exposure across the finance function, including international consolidation, and provides an opportunity to influence how the department develops as the business continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the month end close process, including exposure to the international consolidation cycle, providing insights and recommendations.
- Prepare and review month end journals, including accruals and prepayments.
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances.
- Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
- Support the external audit process, preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
- Review work completed by other team members, providing feedback and acting as a point of escalation for accounting queries.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiency within the finance function.
- Support the implementation of a new accounting system (NetSuite), including involvement in design and testing.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in a numerical or finance related discipline.
- Fully qualified UK accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- 2–4+ years’ experience, ideally within a private company environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have
- Experience working in a growing or PE backed business.
- Exposure to system implementations, particularly NetSuite.
- Experience within a global or multi entity environment.
