Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Office-based (Monday to Friday)

Description
Key responsibilities of a Management Accountant will include:
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts within agreed deadlines.
- Produce profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and annual financial planning.
- Analyse financial performance and investigate variances against budget.
- Produce monthly KPI reports and provide commentary for senior management.
- Business partner with department managers to support informed decision-making.
- Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.
- Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

Profile
The Successful Management Accountant Will
- Be ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified or Qualified by experience
- Have previous experience as a Management Accountant with full ownership of month end close
- Manufacturing experience preferable, however not essential
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles.
- Experience using accounting and strong MS excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
