About the Role As Management Accountant, you’ll play an important role in supporting the UK Finance team across a range of financial, accounting and administrative activities. You’ll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, with a particular focus on preparing, reviewing and completing balance sheet reconciliations on time. You’ll also support day-to-day finance processes, transaction processing, month-end close activities and management reporting. This is a key role in maintaining strong financial controls and safeguarding the company’s financial integrity. You’ll ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements, while proactively identifying and resolving reconciliation and reporting issues. Principal Accountabilities As Management Accountant, you will support the accuracy, integrity and control of the company’s financial information through timely reconciliations, month-end activities and process improvements. Key responsibilities include: Preparing journals, balance sheet reconciliations and financial documentation to support month-end and year-end close. Reconciling company credit cards, virtual credit cards, bank accounts, debtors, creditors and other balance sheet accounts. Reviewing booking and transaction data to identify discrepancies and support accurate financial reporting. Supporting stock counts, statutory accounts preparation and annual audit requirements. Working closely with Finance, AR and AP teams to resolve queries and maintain accurate financial records. Providing administrative support to the UK finance team, including data entry, record maintenance and responding to internal and external finance queries. Supporting financial system accuracy and identifying opportunities to improve, streamline or automate finance processes.

Required Experience You’ll bring a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work confidently with financial data. You’ll ideally have: An accounting degree or be studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA. Good knowledge of double-entry accounting and its impact on the balance sheet and profit and loss. Strong Excel skills and experience using financial or ERP systems, such as D365. Confidence working with large volumes of data accurately and efficiently. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work professionally with colleagues, suppliers and customers. A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in the travel industry, UK financial compliance, or a similar finance/accounting role would be advantageous.
