Management Accountant – Finance (Mid/Senior Level)
The Role
We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance team, based in our Hove office. This is a mid-senior level position with responsibility for delivering high-quality financial insights to support strategic decision-making across the business.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong analytical skills, hands-on experience using Sage, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organisation.
You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, providing actionable financial analysis, contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, while championing continuous improvement in finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including:
- Profit & Loss (P&L) statements
- Balance sheets
- Variance analysis
- Ownership of month-end close processes and reconciliations
- Development and maintenance of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models, working with business units
- Delivery of clear, concise financial analysis and insights to senior stakeholders
- Strengthening and improving financial controls and processes
- Hands-on use of Sage for all core accounting tasks
- Support for audits and statutory reporting requirements
- Assistance with ad-hoc financial modelling and business analysis as needed
- Contributing to process improvements and organisational efficiency

Key Skills and Qualifications
- Essential:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification – mandatory
- Proven experience in a management accounting role at mid-senior level
- Strong, practical experience using Sage – essential
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent Excel proficiency with confidence working with financial data
- Impeccable attention to detail with ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Desirable:
- Experience in a fast-paced or scaling business environment
