Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties are proud to be representing a growing, multi-site organisation in Northampton in their search for a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with operational teams and adding value through insightful financial reporting and analysis. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting business performance, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to the organisation's continued growth.
The Role
Reporting into the senior finance team, you will be responsible for producing accurate management information, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and providing financial insight to operational managers across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
- Produce detailed variance analysis and identify key business trends.
- Deliver meaningful KPI reporting and financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Support the preparation of board packs and monthly financial reporting.
- Assist with the annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and financial models to support business planning.
- Business partner with operational managers to improve financial performance.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end and year-end close.
- Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with internal processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, systems and finance processes.
- Support finance transformation and continuous improvement projects.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and commercial support as required.

About You:
- Part Qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or actively studying towards qualification.
- Experienced in a Management Accountant or similar role.
- Confident preparing monthly management accounts from start to finish.
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical skills.
- A confident communicator who can build relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
