Management Accountant / Warrington (Hybrid) / Salary £50,000 - £53,000 + bonus

Accountable Recruitment are partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit a qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team based in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded finance professional to take ownership of management reporting, forecasting, financial controls, and stakeholder engagement within a dynamic business environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate financial insight, supporting business performance, and driving process improvements across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts and reporting packs in line with internal and group deadlines.
  • Develop and enhance reporting and performance analysis.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to review overhead expenditure and forecast future performance.
  • Support and lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analyse financial performance, providing meaningful commentary on variances against budget and forecast.
  • Ensure robust financial controls are maintained across all finance systems and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, systems, and financial controls.
  • Complete and review month-end balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any issues.
  • Build strong relationships with budget holders, cost centre managers, and Finance Business Partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and document financial processes to improve efficiency.
  • Deliver monthly group reporting across P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Working Capital metrics.
  • Conduct detailed reviews and financial analysis.
  • Support financial forecasting and planning activities.
  • Manage intercompany accounting processes and reconciliations.
  • Provide technical accounting support and guidance to wider finance team members.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and business improvement initiatives.

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders effectively.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
