Spectrum Brands is home to trusted market-leading brands that millions of people use every day. With a collaborative culture, a focus on continuous improvement, and an entrepreneurial approach, we empower our people to take ownership, challenge the status quo, and make a real impact.

We're looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 3-5 years' management accounting experience who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of key financial processes, and partnering with stakeholders across the business.

Supporting month-end and quarter-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial information, driving process improvements, and providing meaningful insight to support business decisions.

The Role

As Management Accountant, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting the wider Finance team and operational stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Managing month-end and quarter-end accounting across operating costs, distribution, freight, duty, stock revaluation, environmental fees, and associated balance sheet accounts.
  • Reviewing cost centre performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring accurate accounting treatment.
  • Supporting the budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating plan (AOP) processes.
  • Producing financial reports, dashboards, and insightful analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.
  • Building strong relationships with Finance colleagues and budget holders, providing guidance and challenging where appropriate.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, automate processes, and strengthen financial controls.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
