Role Summary
As an Accounting Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the monthly management accounting cycle for a hotel portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities

- Financial Reporting:
- Complete profit & loss (P&L) and balance sheet reviews, identifying variances and risks and escalating actionable insights.

Tax Compliance:
- Prepare monthly/quarterly VAT returns and support during VAT inspections.

Team Development:
- Coach and develop the Finance Assistant, improving efficiency in daily processes.

Financial Controls:
- Oversee Bank Reconciliation and Accounts Payable controls, resolving outstanding issues.
- Work with the Financial Controller to develop systems and procedural controls to meet client demands.

Audit Assistance:
- Prepare year-end audit files and liaise with auditors during external audits.

Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to polices, procedures, and audit requirements by maintaining strong controls.

Stakeholder Engagement:
- Address ad hoc queries from both hotel and client teams.

Project-Based Work:
- Tackle ad hoc accounting requirements as needed.

Requirements
Qualifications
Qualified or working towards qualifications in:
- ICAS
- CIMA
- ACCA
- Equivalent professional accountancy bodies
(Desirable but not essential)
Experience
- PREFERRED: Hotel accounting experience with a focus on management accounting (ideally on a client portfolio).
- DESIRED: Supervision/leadership experience.
- IT Literacy: Strong Excel skills and ideally Business Central experience.
- Other Knowledge: Hotel industry familiarity would be advantageous.
