Management Accountant | Salisbury | Hybrid Working | £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

Are you a proactive Management Accountant looking to join a growing business where you can genuinely make an impact?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation with ambitious growth plans. Working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting commercial decision-making and helping drive continuous improvement across the finance function.

This is a varied role offering exposure to management accounting, budgeting, cashflow forecasting, process improvements and business projects, making it ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and associated reporting
  • Producing journals including accruals, prepayments and depreciation
  • Managing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
  • Assisting with board reporting and providing insightful financial analysis
  • Supporting finance projects, including systems improvements and business growth initiatives
  • Overseeing the sales and purchase ledger function with the support of the wider finance team
  • Assisting with supplier and contract negotiations
  • Coordinating payroll processes alongside the wider finance team
  • Building strong relationships across the business and providing financial support to non-finance stakeholders
  • Coaching and supporting junior members of the finance team

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, has excellent attention to detail and is keen to contribute to a collaborative finance team.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role.
  • Strong month-end and management accounting experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Experience using Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate financial information.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues would be advantageous.
  • ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified, part-qualified or actively studying would be highly desirable.
