Management Accountant
Interim Management Accountant (Energy Sector)
Fully Revolving – 6 months at a minimum, 6-month rolling contract
About the Role
Equifind is supporting a fast-growing energy platform with the hire of an Interim Management Accountant, reporting directly to the Head of Finance.
This high-visibility role offers exposure to key energy market processes, including:
- Power markets
- Optimisation arrangements
- Capacity markets
- Long-term revenue contracts
You’ll play a critical part in ensuring accurate revenue capture, reconciliation, and reporting while contributing to the rapid expansion of a dynamic business.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end revenue processes, including:
- Journal postings
- Accrued income calculations
- Balance sheet ownership
- Produce monthly financial accounts and provide updates on:
- Ancillary services revenue
- Capacity market revenues
- Collaborate with the Commercial team to:
- Analyse performance against budget
- Identify and explain key revenue drivers
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for revenue streams

Requirements
- Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
- Ideally with some experience within renewable energy sector
- Strong understanding of:
- Revenue accounting
- Accruals
- Reconciliations
- Balance sheet management
- Must be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
