Management Accountant Role

Description

  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed analysis to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimise cost control and operational efficiencies.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making within the retail sector.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies in all financial activities.
  • Support ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.

Profile

A Successful Management Accountant Should Have

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a management accountant role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
