Management Accountant Opportunity

We are a growing renewable energy business seeking a high-calibre Management Accountant to play a key role in supporting financial performance, strategic decision-making, and the continued scaling of the business.

This is a commercially focused role suited to a proactive individual who is comfortable operating in a multi-entity, project-driven environment and partnering closely with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the bookkeeping operations across multiple companies and the preparation of monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and monthly group reporting, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Responsible for VAT returns and other statutory filings
  • Prepare and present periodic reporting for project companies and development loans, and assist with managing relationships with key financial stakeholders
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to support decision-making
  • Assist in evaluating key business assumptions, risks, and opportunities affecting operational and project performance.
  • Support equity and debt financing initiatives, including financial due diligence responses
  • Drive improvements in internal financial controls and processes, and ensure adherence to financial covenants
  • Support cash flow management, liquidity planning, and working capital optimisation
  • Take accountability for ensuring seamless and error-free execution of financing transactions
  • Assist with developing cost-efficiency programs and support initiatives that enhance revenue generation and optimise pricing strategies across services, products, and assets
  • Carry out ad hoc financial analysis and provide support as required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or STEM field preferred
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA/ICAEW, or AIA)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management accounting role, ideally within an engineering environment
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to translate financial data into business insight
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and providing constructive challenge
  • A proactive and responsible approach to task ownership
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and complex data-handling abilities
