Location: Horwich, BL6 6JW Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Up to £47,000

About the Role
EG Group are seeking a Management Accountant to join the Finance team at our Head Office. In this role, you will support the delivery of accurate, timely management accounts, financial reporting, and performance analysis across the business while collaborating closely with both Finance and operational stakeholders.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in month-end processes, balance sheet control, budgeting, and financial analysis, providing critical insights to support decision-making and drive business performance. This position is ideal for a part-qualified accountant eager to develop their experience within a fast-paced, commercially focused environment, with opportunities for exposure to senior stakeholders and operational finance activities.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Producing accurate monthly management accounts, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations within agreed deadlines.
- Leading or supporting month-end processes, ensuring reporting is accurate, complete, and aligned with Group requirements.
- Supporting variance and trend analysis, providing insights into financial performance across sites and cost centres.
- Collaborating with operational and commercial teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making.
- Managing balance sheet controls, fixed asset accounting, and ensuring financial risks are appropriately identified and managed.
- Assisting with quarterly reporting, statutory audits, and ad-hoc finance projects as required.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of finance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.

What We’re Looking For
✅ A part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with ambition for further development ✅ Previous experience in a Management Accounting or Assistant Management Accounting role ✅ Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret financial data ✅ Strong understanding of month-end processes, journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting ✅ Exceptional organisational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines ✅ Commercially aware, with the ability to engage closely with operational stakeholders and influence decision-making ✅ Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships ✅ Proactive, adaptable, and eager to continue developing within a finance career
