Management Accountant - Warrington (On-site) - £40-45K

Forge Talent is partnering with a large, privately owned national group with c.£1bn turnover based near Warrington. This role sits in a lean, high-performing management accounts team and offers broad exposure across month-end, site-level P&Ls, business partnering and elements of stat/tax work. It’s an excellent opportunity for a strong part-qualified or finalist-level accountant to build end-to-end experience in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of month-end tasks for allocated regions, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Prepare and post journals (e.g. accruals, prepayments, other routine adjustments).
  • Own and maintain allocated balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring they are complete, accurate and fully supported.
  • Prepare and review P&Ls for individual trading sites within your region, checking accuracy and consistency.
  • Act as day-to-day point of contact for site managers on P&L queries, providing explanations in a clear, commercial way.
  • Escalate and work with senior team members on more complex or sensitive stakeholder discussions.
  • Investigate variances on your sites’ results and flag issues, trends or errors to the Senior Management Accountants / Head of Reporting.
  • Support wider team activity on audit, statutory accounts and tax as required.
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and contribute to ongoing process improvements across the management accounts function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
