We are recruiting a Management Accountant to join an infrastructure/ construction related business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant who thrives on adding value through accurate financial reporting, cost analysis, and business collaboration.
About the Role
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Financial Controller and operational teams to support key financial initiatives. Your contributions will be central to delivering accurate financial reports, managing complex month-end processes, and providing insightful cost analysis across multiple depots and contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End & Financial Reporting:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
- Reconciling the balance sheet and investigating variances.
- Posting month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll, and depreciation entries.

Commercial & Operational Support:
- Delivering cost analyses and reports for operational and depot managers.
- Assisting with contract costing and preparing Contract Value Reports.
- Providing financial information to support business decision-making.

Controls & Reconciliations:
- Reconciling intercompany and inter-depot accounts.
- Completing bank reconciliations and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.
- Enhancing finance processes and ensuring rigorous internal controls.

About You
- Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA accountant
- Sound understanding of month-end processes and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP or accounting systems.
- Detail-oriented, hands-on, and organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional communicator with proven ability to collaborate across teams.
Salary
£55,000 to £62,000 basic plus full benefits package to include Hybrid working (4 days a week office based in Milton Keynes)
