Management Accountant
MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
Staines-upon-Thames | £45K-£50K plus bonus | Full-time (40 hrs/week)
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join the Finance team at Accent Catering. This is a newly created role within our growing finance function, offering the opportunity to develop your technical expertise while playing an important part in supporting commercial decision-making across the business.
Working closely with the Finance team and Operations Managers, you will be responsible for producing accurate and insightful management information, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing financial guidance to our onsite catering teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience within a successful and expanding SME, where you'll be encouraged to develop your skills and progress your career.
We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with data, building relationships and identifying opportunities to improve processes. You'll be confident managing multiple priorities, have excellent attention to detail, and enjoy working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.

As our Management Accountant, you will be:
- Preparing site trading accounts and customer invoices
- Producing monthly management accounts, supporting reports and detailed variance analysis
- Preparing monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations, including cashless system reconciliations
- Supporting the preparation, phasing and monitoring of site budgets and forecasts in partnership with the Operations team
- Assisting with the preparation of company budgets and financial forecasts
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and investment tracker
- Providing financial support and guidance to onsite catering managers
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the Finance team
- Producing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support commercial decision-making
- Developing Excel templates and contributing to continuous improvement of finance systems and processes
What you will bring:
- Qualified, part-qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience
- Previous experience preparing monthly management accounts and supporting the month-end process, preferably within an SME environment
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
- Confident presenting financial information and insights to non-finance stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across all levels of the business
- Highly organised with the ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
- Positive, proactive and team-oriented approach with a can-do attitude
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues would be advantageous

Salary £45K-£50K per annum plus bonus
