Management Accountant – Multi-Site Organisation (Central Birmingham, 1 Day WFH)
Alexander Daniels are exclusively recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a well-established, multi-site organisation. This is an opportunity for a technically strong finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment and can impact business decision-making.
You will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, strategic planning, and team leadership within the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts across multiple entities
- Deliver insightful financial analysis, including variance reporting and margin evaluation
- Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting, ensuring realistic and robust financial planning
- Translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations to support senior leadership
- Present financial information to stakeholders (including non-finance colleagues) with clarity and impact
- Oversee financial close activities, ensuring adjustments (accruals, prepayments, depreciation) are accurately recorded
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining data integrity
- Manage bank account and key control account reconciliations
- Support the year-end audit process, serving as a key external auditor liaison
- Monitor inventory performance, including cost tracking, reporting, and stock control
- Ensure intercompany transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
- Maintain financial ledger and chart of accounts accuracy and structure
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior finance team members, conducting performance reviews
- Identify process improvements to enhance financial controls and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Provide ad hoc project support as requested by senior finance leadership

Essential Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) – finalist consideration welcomed
- Proven management accounting experience in a fast-paced or high-volume environment
- Demonstrable leadership experience in supervising or leading a team
- Advanced Excel proficiency (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, Sumifs)
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, capable of influencing senior and non-finance teams
- Proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing competing priorities
This role is based in Central Birmingham with a 1-day work-from-home policy.
