About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Management Accountant to support the growth of our rapidly expanding entrepreneurial cosmetics business. Operating across multiple legal entities and channels in the UK and internationally, we redefine beauty through a digitally native, consumer-centric model.

As a small, high-achieving finance team, we aim for significant growth over the next 12–24 months, alongside ERP implementation, increased operational complexity, and first-year audit readiness. This role will collaborate closely with the Financial Controller, acting as a key operational finance support. Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the month-end close process
  • Driving business reporting and performance insights
  • Ensuring balance sheet integrity
  • Building scalable finance processes and controls

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the month-end close process
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variances and performance analysis
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Prepare accruals, prepayments, journals, and close adjustments
  • Support audit preparation and year-end processes
  • Produce ad-hoc and monthly reports to inform decision-making
  • Provide financial insights to support sales and marketing teams
  • Oversee inventory governance and stock reconciliations
  • Manage AP/AR processes, resolving queries with operational teams
  • Support ERP implementation while helping build scalable finance operations
  • Contribute to finance team process improvements

Candidate Profile

Essential:

âś” Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) âś” Experience in FMCG or inventory-led businesses âś” Strong background in management accounting and month-end processes âś” Skilled in balance sheet and reconciliation management âś” Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment âś” Proactive, process-driven mindset âś” Strong systems (Xero/NPV/dB) and Excel proficiency
