Management Accountant

Location – Stockton Heath
Salary – £based on experience

About the company:

A large, national business based in Stockton Heath, Warrington. You’ll be working in a large management accounting team, within a broad role, producing management accounts, and business partnering with non-finance, including providing commercial recommendations through various forms of analyses, and more.

Responsibilities include:

  • Produce monthly management accounts and shareholder reporting pack, delivering balance sheet, working capital and material transaction analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Weekly sales and margin performance review across multiple sites, identifying profitability risks, anomalies and operational trends to support senior management decision-making.
  • Support the annual regional forecasting cycle, delivering forecast packs for Finance Director sign-off.
  • Act as finance lead for a number of operational regions, partnering directly with site managers to challenge forecasts, review performance and prepare commentary.
  • Forecasting and variance monitoring of key operational cost lines, identifying misallocations and driving material improvements in cost control accuracy.
  • Review and approve VAT applications in line with HMRC legislation, ensuring regulatory compliance across the organisation.
  • Assist with new acquisitions (review of existing management accounts, preparation of management accounts in company format, review of controls).
  • Various other ad-hoc responsibilities.

Skills/Qualifications required:

  • Previous experience preparing management accounts
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified/finalist/part-qualified
  • Good communication skills
