Aila is exclusively partnered with a fantastic business in Watford to recruit a Finance Business Partner / Management Accountant.

The Role
The Management Accountant plays a critical role in the team, acting as a key business partner and decision-support lead for the UK business. Supporting the whole UK business, the role is responsible for delivering high-quality financial planning, analysis, reporting, and operational insight to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
This role is a blend of monthly management accounting, business partnering with non-finance, and utilizing Excel and Power BI to drive better insight and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and periodic reforecasts
- Provide clear financial insight, analysis, and decision support to the SLT
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to operational and functional leaders
- Accurate reporting of month-end performance (including posting of journals ensuring accounting policies are being followed)
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and cost deep-dives to identify risks, opportunities, and efficiency improvements
- Support the Senior FP&A Manager, collaborating closely with Group Finance teams, including global stakeholders, to ensure accurate and timely completion of budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting cycles
- Support operational performance optimization through forward-looking financial analysis and strategic business partnering
- Support the Senior FP&A Manager to continuously improve Opex reporting within Power BI, partnering with IT teams to maintain robust, accurate, and relevant reporting solutions
- FP&A accrual balance sheet reconciliation

The Ideal Candidate
- Finalist or Newly Qualified Accountant with solid month-end experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commercially curious mindset
- Business partnering experience with non-Finance stakeholders and a confident communicator
- Strong Excel skills – confident in manipulating data, pivot tables, and formulas
