Position Purpose:
The Management Accounts Assistant will support the Finance Manager in:
- Maintaining accuracy of the ledgers and produce timely and accurate financial results.
- Liaising across departments to ensure clear communication so that deadlines are met and errors in the accounts are reduced.
- Continuously improving existing processes to achieve a quicker month end close process and more insightful data analysis.
Key Job Activities:
- Prepare manual journal entries in line with established monthly timetables.
- Maintain supporting schedules for journal postings to ensure a clear audit trail.
- Assist the Finance Manager with month-end expense account analysis.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Processing general ledger bank payments and receipts.
- Purchase ledger payments and allocation.
- Supplier statement reconciliations.
- Posting credit card expenditure and by ensuring all applicable receipts have been received from all cardholders and any necessary reclaimable input VAT is identified.
- Credit card account reconciliations.
- Intercompany account reconciliations and invoicing.
- Ownership of accrual and prepayment schedules.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any unreconciled items within set time period.
- Assist in preparation of Corporate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages.
- Assist in analysing and preparing reports, KPI’s and performance statistics/graphs that form part of the Balanced Scorecard or as ad-hoc reporting.
- Familiarity with internal controls and/or Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance and ensuring all internal controls are followed to achieve a successful SOX audit.
- Assist with other non-statutory reporting such as National Statistics.
- Assist with external & internal audits to ensure all aspects of compliance and control are met.

Education:
Experience (North America & LATAM):
- High School or Equivalent.
- Part Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA. Studying for a recognized Accountancy qualification.
Experience (EMEAA):
- Part Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA. Studying for a recognized Accountancy qualification
- 2-3 years + accounting experience.

Skills:
- High attention to detail.
- Good I.T. skills with intermediate Excel (basic formulas, pivots tables, “if” statements, lookups as a minimum).
- Accurate, efficient, and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Detailed and methodical attitude towards problem resolution to ensure accurate reconciliations are performed.
