Management Accountant

£34,434 - £39,152 per annum

Home-based role

Primarily home working, with two days per month on site and occasional additional attendance as required, up to 40% of working time.

37 hours per week

1 x permanent contract

1 x fixed term contract until 31 March 2028

We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and capable finance professionals to join our team and provide proactive, customer-focused financial support to Members and the Corporate Management Team.

The role includes providing financial advice and information, including monthly budget monitoring reports. You will assist with preparing budgets for inclusion in the Medium-Term Financial Strategy, completing Final Account Working Papers, producing the Annual Statement of Accounts and completing statutory returns. The successful candidates will also provide support with projects related to Local Government Reorganisation.

Requirements:

  • Hold the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification
  • Relevant experience in finance
  • IT literate
  • Experience of using a financial ledger and reporting system

This is a home-working contract, and the majority of duties will be carried out at home. Employees will be contractually required to attend site on two days per month for team meetings, one-to-one meetings and similar activities. Employees may also be required to attend site for meetings, collaborative work or other work-related activities. Site attendance will constitute no more than 40% of working time, including the contractual two days per month.
