Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for a role where you can take ownership, build strong relationships and be part of a supportive finance team? We're looking for a Management Accountant to join our growing finance function. This is a varied role that will see you working across multiple businesses, supporting the delivery of accurate monthly reporting and helping ensure the finance team continues to operate efficiently and effectively.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the detail of management accounting but also wants to contribute ideas, improve processes and play an active role within a collaborative team.

The Opportunity

As Management Accountant, you'll be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end activities across a number of entities.

Working closely with colleagues across the finance team, you'll help ensure reporting is delivered accurately and on time, whilst supporting a range of wider finance initiatives and projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting month-end close activities
  • Posting journals including accruals, prepayments, payroll and depreciation
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining supporting schedules
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Assisting with year-end audit requirements and statutory reporting
  • Ensuring financial data is accurate, complete and up to date
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function
  • Working closely with colleagues across finance to deliver high-quality reporting

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with a practical and collaborative approach.

You'll be comfortable working to deadlines, enjoy getting into the detail and take pride in producing accurate, reliable financial information.

Ideally you'll have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be nearing completion
  • Experience preparing management accounts
  • Strong month-end and balance sheet reconciliation experience
  • Good understanding of financial controls and accounting principles
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive and organised approach
  • The ability to build positive working relationships across the business
  • Experience within a multi-entity environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
