Management Accountant
Management Accountant (Network Service Business Unit)

About the Role
Our Business Support teams (HR, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, Legal & Commercial, Estates, Core Technology, IT, Corporate Security, and Fleet) ensure our business thrives by delivering essential services 24/7. As a Management Accountant, driven by the Senior Management Accountant, you’ll collaborate with senior finance and operational teams to:
- Develop, analyse, and report financial forecasts for the Network Service Business Unit
- Ensure timely, accurate, and clear financial reporting and insights to inform business decisions
- Challenge business performance, supporting stakeholders to meet targets
This role is critical in maintaining trusted infrastructure—make an impact while shaping telent’s future.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory reporting & financial clarity
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial results (actuals and forecasts) across cash, balance sheets (CBS), and profit & loss (P&L)
- Prepare month-end reportings with comparative KPIs (vs. forecasts/budgets)
- Manage contract reviews—collaborating with operations to ensure accuracy
- Assist in scrutinising financial results to identify challenges and propose solutions

Forecasting and accountability
- Develop and refine forecasts by business area, project, and cost centre
- Work with senior finance leadership to identify risks, drive actions, and support target achievement
- Provide actionable insights to guide operational and strategic decision-making

- Manage direct reports, supporting growth and accountability
Who You Are
- A forward-thinking finance professional thriving in dynamic, results-driven environments
- Proven experience in a business-facing finance role (detailed requirement listed below)
- Exceptionally organised, meticulous, and resilient under tight deadlines
Requirements
- Qualified or near-qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Prior experience in finance roles focusing on forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis (business-facing)
- Essential technical skills:
- Proficient in Excel (advanced tooling the asset)
- Experience with Oracle or SAP (or similar large ERP systems)
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Practical, pragmatic, and/data-driven—comfortable challenging assumptions
