Churchill Howard is working exclusively with a high-growth, internationally active business looking to hire a qualified accountant into a broad and commercially exposed finance role.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, visibility, and working closely with stakeholders across the business. You’ll play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting planning cycles, and contributing to group-level outputs, while also driving improvements across finance processes.

The role

  • Take ownership of month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support UK reporting cycles and contribute to group reporting, including exposure to international consolidation
  • Collaborate with teams across finance and the wider business to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Review and support the work of junior team members, providing guidance where needed
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning
  • Support core finance operations, including payments and cash management
  • Oversee accounting for customer-related activity, including billing and revenue recognition
  • Provide meaningful analysis and insight to support business decision-making
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, controls, and reporting
  • Get involved in wider projects and initiatives across the finance function

About you

  • ACA or CIMA qualified with post-qualified experience
  • Trained within a Top 10 firm or operating within a high-performing finance environment
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes and financial reporting
  • Confident preparing journals, reconciliations, and key accounting adjustments
  • Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Exposure to group reporting or multi-entity environments is advantageous
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communicator, comfortable working with stakeholders across the business
  • Experience reviewing or mentoring others is beneficial
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
