Job Title: Management Accountant (6–9 Month contract)
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid Available)
Salary: £50,000 per annum (pro-rata)
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role
We are seeking a sharp, proactive, and commercially-minded Management Accountant for a 6 to 9-month Fixed Term Contract. If you are immediately available (or on a very short notice period) and love diving into the numbers to add real business value, we want to hear from you. You will step into a fast-paced environment, taking full ownership of the monthly management accounts while partnering with key stakeholders to support business decisions during a critical period of growth/coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Month-End Reporting: Prepare full monthly management accounts pack, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the rolling forecast process and support department heads with budget management.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and report on daily/weekly cash flow forecasting.
- Commercial Analysis: Provide insightful analysis on KPIs, margins, and cost-saving opportunities to support senior leadership.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies within the current reporting processes and system workflows.

What We Are Looking For
- Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or qualified by experience / finalist level).
- Availability: Immediate start is essential (maximum 1-week notice period).
- Experience: Proven track record in a similar Management Accountant role, ideally with experience handling tight month-end deadlines.
- Tech Skills: Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Sumifs) and experience with mainstream accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, NetSuite, or SAP).
- Attributes: A self-starter who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision and communicate financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
