A well-established and growing business based in Belfast is seeking a Management Accountant to join its experienced finance team. This organisation has enjoyed significant growth in recent years and operates across multiple divisions, offering a varied and commercially focused accounting role within a supportive and collaborative environment. Following an initial onboarding period, hybrid working will be available.

Your new role

As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing valuable insights to support business decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and review of monthly profit and loss accounts and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple business divisions.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and quarterly reforecast processes.
  • Producing meaningful management information and financial analysis for budget holders and senior management.
  • Monitoring revenue streams and ensuring accurate allocation of costs.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to finance processes, reporting and controls.
  • Supporting statutory audit requirements and maintaining strong financial governance.
  • Preparing financial reports and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Reviewing financial performance, identifying trends and making recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Working closely with operational stakeholders to help achieve financial and commercial objectives.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be an ambitious finance professional with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of management accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business.
  • A proactive approach to process improvement and commercial decision support.
  • AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (or be actively studying towards one).
