Job Title: Management Accountant / Finance Manager Location: Walthamstow, London Contract: 3 Month Fixed Term Immediate start preferred – maximum 2 weeks’ notice

About the Role

Big Penny Ltd, an independent London-based hospitality operator (owning Big Penny Social, Flukes, and Big Penny Brews at London City Airport), is seeking a Management Accountant / Finance Manager (or someone with senior experience) for a time-sensitive, fixed-term role. The ideal candidate must be immediately available, offering 2 weeks’ notice and able to hit the ground running.

You will collaborate closely with the team on multi-faceted finance activities, focusing on management accounting, month-end processes, reporting, and business insights, while assisting where needed.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re not seeking a junior candidate seeking to build experience. Instead, we want someone who:

  • Has hands-on management accounting or financial accounting experience, preferably within hospitality, food & beverage, or a similar dynamic sector
  • Is proficient in Xero (critical)
  • Is flexible, proactive, and fast to learn new systems/procedures
  • Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments while maintaining high accuracy and numeracy
  • Demonstrates analytical skills and a commercial mindset
  • Can start within two weeks and work in a hybrid capacity

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
