Who are we looking for?
As Management Accountant, you’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of best-in-class retail experiences through supporting the management of company finances to deliver excellent levels of service, provide seamless customer experiences and ensure the achievement of commercial success whilst making a positive impact on the environment.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee the month-end process by managing ledger cut-off dates, controlling late postings, and ensuring timely and accurate ledger closure.
- Prepare and deliver complete, accurate management accounts, including all associated reconciliations.
- Own all balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of variances.
- Produce and review P&L accounts, preparing draft management accounts for Financial Controller approval.
- Monitor all postings to the company’s Bibby Finance account, ensuring full reconciliation at month end.
- Prepare and submit management account drafts to agreed deadlines, ensuring high standards of accuracy and clarity.

What you’ll need:
- Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, AAT qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong month-end close experience with a focus on accuracy, controls, and meeting deadlines.
- Proven ability to investigate and resolve financial variances and reconciliation issues.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using Xero or other accounting software in an SME environment.
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently with support and guidance from Financial Controller
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
