About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join our small Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will support and manage a broad range of activities gaining a deep insight into all aspects of finance.

Responsibilities include:
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, ensuring timely completion of all month-end activities
- Maintain and process all monthly journals, supported by robust balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage VAT returns and act as the primary liaison with external tax consultants.
- Provide line management, guidance, and coaching to the Accounts Payable Officer, including stepping into the role when required
- Review, analyse and maintain product costings
- Oversee Accounts Receivable processes
- Audit preparation and serve as primary contact with external auditors
About you:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

- Fully qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
- Experience working within a similar-sized SME environment, with the ability to thrive in a hands-on finance function
- Advanced MS Excel skills including strong proficiency in formulas, data manipulation, and analysis
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and insightful financial reports
- Demonstrates calm, objective decision-making in a results-driven environment
This role is 100% site based at our Manufacturing office in Maidenhead. Mon-Friday, flexible start and finish times.
