Management Accountant

Management Accountant

Location: Central London Contract: 12 months Salary: £70–75k Hybrid: 4 days in office

Requiring candidates with the ability to start within 2 weeks’ notice.

About the Role

The Financial & Management Accountant role offers hands-on support to the Finance Manager & team, covering:

  • Day-to-day accounting tasks
  • System implementation
  • Strategy contributions
  • Preparation of annual accounts & statutory reporting

The position ensures ongoing collaboration for financial accuracy and reporting across assigned SME property firms.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Year-End Processes

  • Prepare quarterly management accounts & year-end accounts
  • Maintain and manage profit & loss (P&L) ledgers & balance sheets
  • Compile Spain capital report (notifiable events)
  • Oversee annual accounts & statutory reporting preparation

Ledger & Intercompany Management

  • Monitor customer, vendor, & intercompany accounts, resolving issues promptly
  • Review, verify, and input financial data for the group’s property management agencies
  • Work closely with the property finance team to correct errors in reports/documentation
  • Compare actual spend against budgets for variances
  • Reconcile control accounts & intercompany balances for accuracy

Invoicing, VAT & Compliance

  • Approve supplier invoices for accuracy and validity
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring ledger reconciliation
  • Maintain fixed asset registers

Supplier & Audit Liaison

  • Liaise with third-party suppliers to resolve invoicing discrepancies
  • Assist with the external audit and financial statement preparation

Key Skills & Experience

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience preparing financial and management accounts
  • Property sector or Caseware experience is advantageous
