Job Opportunity with Leading Global Client in the Service Sector

Anderson Knight is delighted to partner with our leading global client in the Service Sector. This is perfect for an aspiring part qualified student who is studying: CIMA OR ACCA. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior finance leaders to deliver insightful financial reporting, in-depth profit and loss analysis, and valuable business performance insights that support strategic decision-making.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Production of management accounts with detailed analysis
  • Supporting the process of yearly budgets and forecasts
  • Manage month end processes, ensure accuracy is adhered
  • Construction of VAT returns
  • Analyse revenue, gross margin, and overhead variances, providing clear insights and reporting outcomes to senior management.
  • Perform regular reviews of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed asset registers to maintain financial accuracy and control.
  • Collaborate with operational managers to identify opportunities for improving financial performance, enhancing profitability, and strengthening cost control measures.
  • Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insight and support initiatives that drive business performance and cost efficiency.
  • Support the year-end audit process and assist in the preparation of statutory financial reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA, actively progressing towards full qualification.
  • Proven experience in the preparation and delivery of comprehensive monthly management accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and associated financial reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce detailed P&L analysis, supported by clear and insightful financial commentary.
  • Highly analytical with strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
  • Solid experience in preparing journals, managing accruals and prepayments, and performing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
  • Hands-on experience working with ERP systems and integrated finance software packages.
