The Opportunity
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is more than finance management—it’s about turning financial data into decision-making power. You’ll collaborate across the organisation, refine commercial acumen, and support our vibrant finance team of 5 in producing precise financial insights while preparing for senior financial leadership over time.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Maintain financial forecasts for multiple business streams
- Ensure monthly flash reporting and quarter/annual targets remain accurate via variance analysis and reconciliation of management P&Ls
- Coordinate project reporting with external partners

Revenue Accounting
- Review new contracts for compliance and correct system setup (US GAAP)
- Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley controls
- Accurately recognise revenues monthly
Cost Accounting
- Traced direct project costs for staff, contractors, and other expenditures
- Reconcile monthly balance sheet accrual accounts
- Audit timesheets for project accuracy and non-working time classification
- Review indirect cost postings to deliver clearer P&L insights for leadership
Billing & Unbilled Revenue Management
- Perform monthly reconciliations of control accounts
- Manage UNB accounts and billing workflows with the project finance operations team
- Follow up on unbilled balances with sales and project teams to optimise capital
System & Reporting Support
- Support NetSuite implementations and process refinements
- Generate customised management information/dashboards
- Liaise with internal/external auditors on financial performance and adherence to policies
Miscellaneous
- Proactively tackle ad-hoc requests as needed
The Fit
Successful candidates will have:
- Part-qualification (or near-completion) in ACCA or CIMA
- Advanced technical proficiency in Excel and core Microsoft packages
- Prior experience in a high-volume services firm (optional but highly regarded)
- Background in creating management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end revenue closures
- British passport + permanent UK residency (last 5 years) for security clearance eligibility
