Hook Norton
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £ 40,000 per annum
Hours: 38.5 per week
Our head offices are based in the beautiful village of Hook Norton near Banbury. Here you will find our teams of finance, HR, purchasing, marketing & creative that support all of our locations across the Thomas Franks family. There is ample parking space available when visiting.
We would also consider individuals looking for part-time roles.
About the Role
Thomas Franks is looking for an ambitious Management Accountant to join our dynamic team based in Hook Norton, Oxfordshire. The role will suit somebody who has already started a career in finance and is looking to continue to develop and qualify. The role will provide exposure to transactional accounting as well as commercial and operational exposure.
Main Responsibilities
- Processing accounting entries on clients’ accounts
- Reconciling accruals and deferral accounts
- Analysing variances and performance of client accounts, drawing insight and discussing with Operations teams
- Supporting operations on financial analysis required on an ad-hoc basis
- Acting as a direct point of contact for our clients' finance teams
- Raising sales invoices and distributing to operations and client
- Management of client accounts
- Monthly Reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts
- Involvement in budget setting and analysis to support
- Cash and banking reconciliations
- Overhead analysis
- Supporting other areas of the finance department such as accounts payables and sales ledger
- Other ad-hoc duties to support team objectives

Key Personal Skills And Attributes
- Ability to work on your own initiative and work well within a team
- To be able to engage effectively with others in a professional, unbiased, and discreet manner
- Able to provide attention to detail, work under pressure, have excellent communication skills (both verbal and non-verbal)
- Personal attributes include reliability, honesty, loyalty, and self-motivation
- A competent user of a PC - MS Office i.e. Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ambition to develop and improve skills and knowledge
- Willingness to learn new skills and responsibilities
Qualifications And Experience
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- At least 5 years relative experience
- Ideal but not essential Microsoft Business Central experience
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
