Management Accountant
Orbital Internet Group
Location: Harrogate or Canterbury
Reports to: Group Financial Controller
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, full-time
About us
Orbital Internet Group is a fast-growing, private equity-backed internet service provider and network operator. We build and run our own networks and deliver connectivity to businesses, consumers & holiday parks.
Our Parks business is the fastest-growing part of the group and, following the acquisition of LPIS Ltd, we are one of the largest dedicated connectivity providers to the UK holiday park market serving hundreds of parks and marinas and tens of thousands of park owners. LPIS operates from Harrogate and sits as part of the group with head office in Kent, Canterbury.
We have grown quickly, both organically and through acquisition. Joining now means joining a finance function that is scaling up alongside the business, with real scope to shape how we do things.
The role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will work as part of a team to deliver monthly management accounts and play a part in the group's consolidated reporting.
This is a broad, hands-on role in a multi-entity group. As well as producing the numbers, you will be expected to explain them, challenge them and improve the processes that generate them. It suits someone part-way through their qualification who wants genuine end-to-end exposure in management accounts, consolidation, VAT, audit, cash flow, controls and systems rather than a narrow seat in a large finance team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
