Management Accountant (Internal Job Level Reference: Specialist) Wilmslow • Hybrid • £37,000–£42,000 + bonus + benefits Zest4 (part of Focus Group) is looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, and maintaining strong financial controls. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a growing telecoms and technology business, with strong support for progression and development. What you’ll do Prepare monthly management accounts, reporting into Group in line with set timelines Complete balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts Produce and submit VAT returns accurately and on time Provide clear commentary on financial performance and key variances Maintain accurate ledgers to reflect the current business position Support the Finance Director and Senior Leadership Team with financial insights Work with group colleagues and external advisors, supporting audit and strategic initiatives Run and review control reports (e.g. aged debtors/creditors, cashbook) Support the wider business with finance processes, ensuring clarity and consistency Handle large volumes of financial data with a high level of accuracy What you’ll bring Experience producing management accounts from trial balance Understanding of finance systems / ERP platforms Working knowledge of VAT returns and financial controls Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a finance role Part‑qualified (or working towards) accounting qualification Strong numerical, organisational, and analytical skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Nice to have Staff management experience Experience within the telecoms or technology sector Experience with Sage or Microsoft Dynamics 365 About Zest4 Founded in 2013, Zest4 is a leading UK provider of Unified Communications solutions and part of the Focus Group.
