Management Accountant - Record to Report (R2R)

£50,000 to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience

Full-time onsite - Central London Head Office

Please note: we cannot offer sponsorship for this position

About the Role

Noble Restaurant Group are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our team. The role will be responsible for financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting the financial controllers and wider finance team.

Noble Restaurant Group operates a portfolio of iconic brands across UK, US, Canada, and the Middle East. These brands include Chotto Matte, Angus Steakhouse, Alley Cats Pizza, Steak and Co, and Muriel's Kitchen.

General Responsibilities

Month End

  • Posting monthly journals such as accruals, prepayments, wages, and revaluations.
  • Posting weekly journals such as revenue, COGS, and stock movements.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts for assigned business units, including variance analysis for the Financial Controller's review.
  • Preparing monthly reconciliations of Sales and COGS for review.
  • Analysing variances and highlighting any areas of concern.
  • Ensuring intercompany recharges are completed accurately on a monthly basis.
  • Supporting the wider finance function as required.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

  • Taking ownership of a range of balance sheet accounts.
  • Preparing detailed schedules for review and posting adjustments to strict deadlines.

Internal Controls

  • Ensuring financial controls are being followed and raising any instances of concern.
  • Assisting with testing controls and suggesting improvements where gaps are identified.
  • Assisting with the year-end audit and providing evidence to external auditors.

Banking & Payments

  • Performing daily bank reconciliations, including reconciling daily receipts.
  • Investigating suspicious transactions and escalating potential issues.
  • Making ad-hoc payments as required.

Supporting the Business

  • Collaborating with non-finance staff to ensure processes are being followed within the procure-to-pay workstream.
  • Assisting other departments in resolving payment and financial reporting issues.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Variance Analysis

  • Tracking spend across projects and sites, providing breakdowns as required by the Financial Controllers.
  • Providing estimates of current spend to support budget and forecast preparation.

Finance Change

  • Participating in finance change programmes by ensuring processes are up to date and effectively communicated.
  • Suggesting improvements to current ways of working and taking a proactive approach to process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • 3+ years of experience in management accounting, R2R, and similar roles.
  • Ability to solve problems and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with ERP, banking, and office software.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
